EXPERIMENTING WITH METAL

The Relationship Between Peace And Chaos

Being an extremist I have always been interested in the relationship of opposites, therefore researching ‘Peace and Chaos’, I am researching the importance of finding a balance in life, combining the two subjects together. Also how human beings need both, in order to feel alive, continuously searching for harmony, but also creating confusion.

At this stage my influences are very much my personal interests and experiences: exploring and trying to understand the relationship between ‘Peace and Chaos’, associating the two subjects within Nature and Humans respectively. Also fundamental the importance of incorporating organic and non-organic materials into the work, in order to give it that sense of real ‘structured messiness’, ‘chaotic order’, intrinsic within my way of living and therefore my way of thinking.

Key words of my projects are:

EXPLORING: different surroundings, Nature, the City, various subjects, the inner inside, etc.

EXPERIMENTING: processes, ideas, media, arrangements, etc.

METAMORPHOSIS: pushing the limits of the material in question, changing and transforming its nature, etc.

During this period I have dealt with various ideas and concepts to use in different projects. Starting with the ideology of ‘The Relationship Between Peace and Chaos’, present in each work and going into the psychological personal analysis of the meaning of Relationship, which continued with the introspective and philosophical journey to understand the importance of the ‘symmetricality’ of images. Very important also the meaning of the Metamorphosis of the materials in question, which consequently related to the correlation of the four elements: Water, Fire, Air and Earth.
